Pink Flamingos
Flamingos are large birds with graceful, beautiful feathers. I recently learned that my favorite " Pink" flamingos feather's turn pink from eating pigments found in invertebrates and algae, who knew! The saying " you are what you eat" is certainly true.. Be sure to read more about them when you visit your local community zoo.

Soon it will be time for the Northwest to share its lovely Spring gardens...We grow an old fashioned pink carnation in our yard that came from my Grandmother's rock garden area maybe sixty years ago. I always look forward to those soft, delicate pink blooms with a great sweet scent. Reminds me of my "Grandma Emma" and her beautiful flowers in her garden so many years ago....good memories...
